There are important lessons here. God’s people should always be a blessing to the world in which we live. We should be a blessing to our neighbors, to our community, to our city and nation.
God is consistently good, and is faithful in all that He has promised. He can answer our prayers.
Two relatively unknown men named Lamech provide great insight into matters of faith.
Noah and Lot have much in common. Both lived in worlds fixated on evil. Both received divine instruction on escaping coming punishment of evil, and both could take their families with them. Sadly, both also became inebriated after their God-given escape, and both had problems with children as a result.
This world is filled with uncertainty, pain, and suffering. Perhaps we’ve been so blessed in the past, that we’ve forgotten that we’re not actually the one’s in control. Let us take this time to refocus on the One who is in control.
